That time has finally come! I have been waiting for this moment since I left the Playa last year! Two of my resolutions at Burning Man last year were: Learn to fire dance, and get into the studio to produce original music. I have been training all year with fire, starting with the girls at indrayoga.com, and continuing with the LA Fire Conclave (lafc.org) since March. I also have been in the studio working on my first original song.
I have been collecting music all year to play on the Playa. Much of it I have not played yet for anyone. I will be playing music at the Mekka Outpost, which will be located on the corner of 5:00 and Esplanade, the main drag at Burning Man. However, I will be roaming about to other stages and playing music too, currently I have talked to 6-7 camps where I will be playing. People don't usually carry timepieces at BM, so listing times is not feasible. I will try and have info up at Mekka, and also at the Center Camp message boards. I will be spinning at times all over the dial, day, night, early, late, with music to suit the time, and energy projected from those there listening.
I will be arriving at BRC (Black Rock City, what we call the metropolis that springs up on a dry lake bed outside of Reno, near Gerlach, Nevada), on Saturday August 27th, so I will be there the entire time.
On thursday, around dusk, me and a bunch of nuts are going to attempt to break the Guinness Book World Record for the most ever, simultaneous, fire-breathers setting off a huge fireball. This is called "Ocean of Fire". and will be filmed by the Guinness folks. It will be located on the Playa near Fire Conclave Convergence, around 6:00 and Esplanade, around the time the sun has dropped below the mountains. The location might change, so be prepared for that. More info about this can be found at: http://www.geocities.com/burningbreathers/
On Saturday, the night of the burn, me and my fellow LA Conclavers will be doing our choreographed fire show below the Man for the burn, along with 600+ fire dancers from around the planet Earth. We have been practicing this for months now, it will be something you won't want to miss. Check with me or center camp before the burn to find out where in the Great Circle our group will be placed, so that you do not miss it.
After that, catch me with Inferno, Inc. at the Thunderdome, sometime in the night, where we will be battling it out Mad-Max style, complete with leather armor and fire-swords!
Please give me a reply to this message, and let me know where you will be camping, and any cool events that you might be attending there so that we can have some fun! Look out for me, I will be the one with a Pink and Orange Mohawk! And if you have a Theme Camp with sound and CDJs, let me know! I'm There!

Pocket DJs Will Spin For ...?
Date & Time: 2005-08-30 1:00 AM
Location:
Hi...Jesse Here,
I just wanted to let you all know that I am pimping out my Pocket DJs as well as myself to spin for...things...on the playa. First off, we have no idea where we will be camping so go to information and ask 'em where the Pocket People Camp is. Now, that being said, here's what we have to offer you:
Drifter & Shylock:
Not only are they adorable, but are fantastic DJs. Seasoned veterans that specialize in a delicious creation of their own. There style starts with a very deep, danceable blend of electro and tends to wind it's way on up through tribal and progressive yet still somewhat electro insanity. Guaranteed to get asses shaking and minds bending around your speaker stacks.
Sarah Marie:
This is progressive house at it's finest! This is another DJ that can absolutely take you to another level. Her newest cd "Uplift Me" is a thing of true beauty, warmth and raw power. She will destroy you in the nicest possible way leaving you in a happy glowing pool all mixed in with your friends. Aaah summer. And if that don't take the cake, she's easy on the eyes if ya know what I mean.
Jokton Strealy:
This man has one thing that he does, and he does it well. He will light your entire dancefloor on FIRE! His blend of high energy progressivity combined with masterful mixology and sense of humor come together in a symphony music that is sure to make your dance area the envy of the rest of the playa.
Sammy Bliss:
This man never ceases to amaze me. I bit of a new-be...Sammy has put together a style that I would categorize as progressive funk! Tight beats, gathered together with funky bass lines and a fairly healthy dose of the psychedelic and a handsome face sum it up with this turntable marvel. I mean, just take his name Sammy Bliss, need I say more?
Jesse Wright (Me)
You all know me by now, I play whatever you need whenever you need it. I am a whore. You want downtempo, I got that, you want house, progressive house, deep house, breaks...no problem. You want Wilson Phillips? talk to Paynie. I can hook you up. I do prefer the 1 hour before sunrise to 1 hour after sets though. After you are all danced out, grab a chair and just watch the tunes go by.
Well, see you on the playa! I can't wait. Deffinately come find us, we'll have a little chill area of our own, big canvas tent, small soundsystem. We'll be droppin beats so just look to see when the POCKET sign is on and drop on in.
Love you all and thank you for making this year so incredible! We couldn't have done it without you.
Mucho Besos
